Quality Testing

Sil Tech offers quality testing before the placement of purchase orders.  Testing prior to purchasing reduces incompatibility problems and quality control issues significantly.  "But the testing process will take forever," you sigh.  Not necessarily.  Sil Tech understands the needs of its customers.  We recognize the importance of tight deadlines, "hot" projects, and other time factors likely to arise.  This is why we put forth our best effort everyday to meet the needs of our accounts.  Lab results are generally available within three days of entry.  Upon evaluation, our technical team will match your product with Sil Tech's product.  A few days later, your requested sheet samples will be delivered to your doorstep.  In addition, you may order a free trial roll of release liner, deliverable within just a few weeks or sooner!  Once tested, (and yielding positive results), feel free to call and place your purchase order.

Sil Tech manufactures custom release liners using both thermal and UV curing methods.  The release, or the act of freeing or separating a pressure sensitive adhesive from its release liner, is highly dependent on a variety of factors including cure method, adhesive system, and substrate, among others.  The release level, is the measurement of force needed to remove a release liner from an adhesive.  Testing is done on a standard size sample and force needed to separate the liner from the adhesive is measured in grams.  The lower the number, the easier to remove the liner.
